Beneath a deep blue cloudless sky we are walking along the crest of a mountain through a sun-drenched forest of hardwoods ablaze in dazzling golds, yellows and oranges. The forest floor is a liberally strewn with boulders and stones and clusters of golden brown grass. This is all softened by a colorful blanket of freshly fallen leaves. Through the trees we can see a valley several hundred feet below with a large pond, more autumn forest and a few buildings.

There is a patch of gold where the sun is setting. The bottoms of the clouds covering most of the sky are painted pink and blue violet. Trees and sky are reflected in the slightly rippled waters of the small cove in front of us.
