The deceptively calm stillness of a summer evening beside a lake. Looking out through a thicket of green leafy shoots growing beside the lake. Above the wooded far shore some tall thunderstorm clouds are being smudged in long hazy streaks across a pale blue sky by much stronger breezes aloft. The setting sun is tinting the clouds and haze in shades of pale gold and pink. Sky and far shore are mirrored in the very slightly rippled waters below.

All of the recent snow here in SE Massachusetts has remained on the ground making for great snowshoeing conditions. Enjoyed a sunset hike this evening, snowshoeing through a local forest.
