I'm not good at #introductions , but I'll try. I'm Sekhmet or Monik, I live in northern Italy in the middle of the countryside. Pan, poli and vegan.
I have many, too many interests and I am constantly changing hobbies. I work in the education field: currently in a residential community for foreign minors (MSNA). I landed in the Fediverse because I was fed up with traditional social media: nauseated by the feeling of anger and impotence that endless scrolling left me with - combined with a general disgust for how people on "big tech social media" approach others without empathy and kindness. In the Fediverse everything is different, I like the vibes here. Maybe it's just my bubble, but it's nice to see that difficult topics can be discussed without ending up in gratuitous insults, while maintaining a respectful and civil tone!
I tend to follow and boost things that I find interesting rather than publish because I tend to be shy but I created a website to learn HTML and CSS and it has become my online home. Since last year I have become passionate about online privacy, digital hygiene and digital minimalism. Sometimes I'm there, sometimes I disappear. But if you want to interact I will definitely answer you. I write in italian and english (a very bad english).

In my spare time I write, and help out at mental support groups.

I am Anubis. You probably know who I am. I am a guide and protector. On here, however, I shall, most likely, talk and post about various topics which I am interested in. I am, of course, interested in Ancient Egypt and mythology, but also art, philosophy and religion. I am currently trying my hand at creating various (albeit very simple) emoji. I also enjoy music, writing and reading. I will, most likely, also share various jokes. Additionally, it is likely that I will also talk about various everyday events and technology and language.

I do not, as of yet, have my own website. However, I shall be working on creating on in the foreseeable future.

Feel free to talk to me if you wish, but please introduce yourself and state the reason for your wishing to talk to me. I am not the best at small talk.

Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could boost this post so that our newly-created instance can get some help with federation.
