Hi, fedi creatures. I'm an Atari noob in search for answers.
Today I was dusting off the inside of an Atari 65XE I recently got as a gift and there's something interesting going on around (what I think is) the BASIC ROM. Does anybody have any idea what's that? A repair? A workaround to fit a longer IC into a smaller socket?

Erster Neuzugang für dieses Jahr: ein #Commodore 1541 Single Floppy Disk Drive. Öhm... ja, also noch eins. 😂 War sehr günstig und ich hab's in erster Linie wegen der OVP gekauft. Das Laufwerk selbst ist optisch absolut neuwertig, aber defekt (Dauerläufer). Also wohl CPU oder ROM...

My TMS7000 disassembler is now minimally functional, and very minimally documented, but I've made a git repository publicly available on Codeberg:

I don't promise that anything works correctly, or that the output can be assembled back to the original binary. That is the intention, but as the assembler is not yet ready, I can't yet test that.

The only practical way to dump non-standard TMS7000 microcode is by transcribing the decoder PLA from a phtoomicrograph of the chip.
I think the TMS70C46-based devices I'm interested in, which are calculators, use the standard microcode.
