Fact: More U.S. military personnel have died from PTSD than in the line of fire. Human beings were never designed to withstand such physical and mental anguish, especially without good reason.
So my question is: Who is this rogue U.S. army ready to invade the planet without Congressional approval?

River Curves
A storm forecast, our flight cancelled. If it hadn't been, we would never have seen this serene scene.
Following the swift river upstream, we paused where the early light kissing the clouds was reflected in the icy waters.
Facing south; dawn at 10:30am in mid-November over Núpufellshnjúkur in Eyjafjarðarsveit, north-eastern #Iceland.
Zoom in to view this at 100% if you can, it's very detailed.

Hey everyone!
Mo here, onward and upwards as is always the hope and desire.
I'm a fairly atypical Granny living in #Scotland, with an #Iceland photography obsession. I used to do games graphics many moons ago. I love weather photography, long slow walks getting slower due to stuff, my wonderful sons and my lovely patient partner.
Here's a drop-dead gorgeous shot to start this. Lómagnúpur in southern #Iceland.
Autumnal
Between dark clouds, the sun spotlit the serried terraces tumbling down to the fjord far below.
High turrets of mountains displayed their ribs. A patchwork of highlights slid across soft hills lower down.
Everywhere around, the soothing sound of water splashing down to meet the fjord below.
October: Sunbeams, showers, and rainbows; it was a great day for photography. Mjóifjörður in eastern #Iceland.

OTD 2019
We decided to spend our birthdays in Iceland that year.
My partner's is the day before mine, so this is what we did on my birthday that year.
Pic 1: From Varmahlíð, after a good breakfast we started out along Skagafjörður
Pic 2: Through Tröllaskagi to Öxnadalur and lovely Hraundrangi
Pic 3: Arriving in Akureyri, the traffic lights love us
Pic 4: Akureyri from the opposite side of Eyjafjörður, with Hlíðarfjall above
Perfect! 🎉

My old folks want to break free from #facebook, and i'm helping them get started on the #fediverse. Yay!
Till now I've made them accounts on #mobilizon for groups and events, #loops for short-form video, and #peertube for long-form video.
Now they're getting a #mastodon account to tie it all together, and make conversation.
Question is; on which mastodon instance should they sign up, and who should they follow?
Their main interests are icelandic horses, sheep, sheep dogs / herding dogs and general small-scale animal husbandry. They live in arctic Norway, and their english language is decent.
I've found no starterpacks of accounts about farming, rural life, sheep husbandry, horse riding or dog training. (https://fedidevs.com/starter-packs/)
Could y'all help them get a great start to federated living by giving some recommendations?
