I've been looking into creating a little web application based on #python. It should come with creating basic html widgets so I don't need to deal with javascript sutff and come with SQL-DB connectors.
#Django seemed to fit my need but seems to be a bit big. I've also taken a look at turbogears, but I'm not sure if that project is still alive.
So I'd appreciate any hints thanks.

- Flask (microframework) + extensions: Flask-SQLAlchemy (DB), Flask-WTF (forms without JS). Quick start.
- Pyramid: modular, uses SQLAlchemy/Deform for widgets.
- Bottle: single-file, SQLite/SQLAlchemy. For micro-tasks.
- Django: powerful but heavy. Admin/ORM "out of the box".
- TurboGears: still active but with low activity. Issue #35 unresolved — not recommended.
Final recommendation: Flask — optimal choice for your needs.
@rolliebae I've tried the flask tutorial with the user registration/login and the blog crud and I absolutely love it.
The tutorial is perfect and flask gives me a very welcome sense of being in control.
