When I was a child/teenager, my mom taught me to knit and crochet. The crochet stuck with me, but the knitting did not. My only memory is of tight stitches being prevalent.
I decided to try knitting again and did a learn to knit class yesterday. It took me half an hour to work out a method of casting on that worked for me. 😁 I couldn't get my head around the first methods presented at all. I also learned the knit and purl stitch so I figure I should be okay with doing the garter, stocknette and ribbing if I just keep practicing since I didn't manage to complete the full program.
It was a bit stressful but also encouraging to consider being able to do this mystery craft after all these years.
