The sweater reknit is officially done now! I'm very happy with how it turned out, I can see myself wearing it a lot!

I knit the sweater after my measurements. The yarn is Drops Baby Alpaca Silk, which is discontinued.

So it turns out I've been making a cocoon cardigan without realizing LOL. The construction was giving me grief because the pattern didn't come with a diagram and I had to work it out from the photos.

I guess I blacked out when I saw the pretty motif and woke up with 16 squares. 😅 This is fine, I wanted one of these eventually.

I finally got through #spinning and plying all of the cotton that I grew, plus the stuff I found roadside in Georgia. I discarded my first ball of spun thread because it was too thick and irregular since I was just learning.

This is my first experience working with fibers. It really makes you appreciate all that goes into producing a piece of cloth, or even the readymade rolags that you can buy.

Now I'm knitting it.

Provisional cast on, because I'm doing it in double knit. No floats on the inside that way. The yarn is very silky merino because sensitive skin. Smooth silky yarn and long floats are a recipe for disaster.
