This photo was taken in early September on a hiking trail in a mature forested area. Trees, mainly coniferous, line both sides of the trail and form an arch over the walking surface. This creates a tunnel effect looking along the trail's path. The trail is carpeted in fallen pine needles which are brown in colour. Tree roots can be seen protruding up slightly above the trail's surface. The centre of the photo is brighter as the sun was more prominently shining through the trees in that area.
