Letter: Let's swap Alaska and
Alberta

Canada's new liberal Prime Minister, Mark Carney, took a strong
position the other day when he told Donald Trump that Canada
was "not for sale." That may be true for most Canadian provinces.
But Alberta, which is rich with oil and gas resources, doesn't agree
with Carney's politics and appears willing to become part of the
United States.
Alaska, which is also rich in oil and gas resources, is physically
disconnected to the Lower 48, not unlike Alberta. Furthermore,
Alaska is not overly enamored with the Trump regime. If Alberta
really wants to join the United States, maybe we can make a
mutually agreeable swap and Alaska can become Canada's new
northern province. Maybe then all the residents of both locations
can be happy.
