Quite interesting: On #Android, or at least #GrapheneOS, deleting the data of an app doesn’t reset its app icon if the app set a custom app icon, and the app can query this fact and know that its app icon isn’t the default.

@anselmschueler Can it query the exact logo or just the fact that it isn't the default? I wonder how many different logos or even custom logos it could set. (How many bits of information could be stored like this to avoid cleaning data?)

I don’t know how custom icons work, exactly, but it seems like the app has a list of icons predefined.
