Let the record show: Almost three months on and i am still struggling. I am still miles away from the baseline that i had reached before the covid vaccination that has fucked me up.
It is an absurd situation, that i as someone who has always had strong adverse reactions to mrna vaccines, felt pressured into getting it, because almost everyone else stopped getting them.
It is frankly baffling to see how whenever you report vaccine complications the "vax and relax" reply guys freak the fuck out.
We now know that these complications do exist. Yet you guys still feel the need to gaslight us? It says more about you than you might think.
@antiaall3s Have you considered that your symptoms may be due to something other than the vaccination. Given how common Covid is, it's quite possible that you contracted Covid within the same time windows as when you got your booster.
@Infoseepage Yes, i did consider that and tested for it twice. The other thing is that i already had worsening symptoms after my 1. and 2. booster, increasingly so. After which i skipped a few mrna boosters (when vaccine coverage in the general population was still quite decent here), and then switched to novovax, to which i had zero adverse reaction. But last year novovax didn't get an update and was not available where i live anyway. In theory it could be something else, but
@Infoseepage let's also not minimise that certain people do get adverse reactions to vaccines.
I remember a survey among the #LongCOVID community (done by Gez Medinger), came to the result that 25% experienced a worsening of their symptoms after vaccination. Whereas 25% saw improvements in their baseline, for the rest, 50%, nothing changed.
As i say above, vaccines are great. People should get them. But to many don't. Which forces people with known adverse reactions to get one.
And I remember a real paper and not a community survey:

@tobi82 I think it says more about you than you might think, how dismissive you are of "community surveys". In a disease where is no objective data, we will always depend on subjective patient reporting. That survey by Gez (a medial researcher by trade) was answered by well over 2000 people (if my memory serves me right). I also remember a later study that confirmed the 25/25/50 finding. Still looking for it though. If i can be arsed. @Infoseepage
First of all, you can do surveys also in a scientific way. The authors did so.
And second,
there is a ton of objective data for #mecfs and #longcovid. There are for example chronic immune activation,, systemic inflammation, and potential immune exhaustion. There are markers and tests available.

@Infoseepage A friend of mine lost her pancreas after a booster. She is "only" one of 30'000 to whom this happened (according to her), hence statistically insignificant. But her life is completely different. And not only that, but when she adresses the issue she gets accused of being anti-vaxx. Imagine that.
