I successfully replaced the USB-C port on my Thinkpad without breaking anything, and think I levelled up a bit in soldering.

@kadse One difficulty is not being able to see if they have reflowed, because they are mostly hidden or very hard to see. So I basically overheated it to be sure, which melted connector a bit, but I got away with it.
