Coffee At Djúpivogur¹
It was a lovely afternoon of sunshine and showers, and we'd driven most of the way down the east coast from Breiðdalsvík that day, so we stopped for a walk, a coffee, and a break.
The day was pleasantly cool but warm in the sunshine. The water sparkled, the air was clean and we had no reason to rush.

The final colour photo, a view of more of the harbour and nearby buildings. A cluster of white structure on the quay are close to the dock, and a black building is further back. Cars and vans are parked by it and people are walking around. The distant mountains are softened by the cloudy hat, but large areas of the sky are clear.
A close-up of a few of the quayside buildings, one a neat red-roofed, red-doored and black-walled structure and the other a scruffy yellow warehouse. Beyond are the magnificent mountains, cloud-shadowed and with a heavy cap of dense cloud.
A different angle of view, and more detail can be seen of the boats at the dock. The ruffled water is reflecting the sky and the mountains are all capped with cloud. There's a pedestrian crossing over the tarmac road in the foreground, and buildings can be seen on the hill dropping gently to the quay.
Four colour photos, this first one shows a harbour town with a mountain range on the other side of a fjord. The sky is cloudy but with large clear patches, and the cloud is covering the top of the peaks like a white woolly hat. There are lots of small boats in the harbour and one larger. The foreground is a tarmac road that the viewer is travelling on, and a large black building. There are more buildings on the quayside.
