Sources of Deception
@davidrevoy can we get a full illustration of that frog?
@k1tteh Not this evening, but I'll keep the idea somewhere. Meanwhile, you can probably crop the high-resolution: https://www.peppercarrot.com/0_sources/miniFantasyTheater/hi-res/en_030_miniFantasyTheater.jpg
🐸 💕
@davidrevoy i finished my work for the day so there you go, froggy fanart
@k1tteh Nice! Thank you.
@davidrevoy Your use of color is so refined and subtle and wonderful!!! And the comics are funny. Really love your work. :)
@virtualbri Thank you!
I have a very time consuming painting style for a comic strip. I really envy my colleague on the web who can do a pure black and white line-art and fill them with flat colors.
But I like to paint too much and I would trade this experience for nothing else: I like visible brush stroke and deep colors and contrast.
I also publish a version without text and hi resolution for the artworks only: https://www.peppercarrot.com/0_sources/miniFantasyTheater/hi-res/gfx-only/030_miniFantasyTheater.jpg
@davidrevoy Your work is just beautiful. Putting the "art" in "Cartoon" for sure. :)
@davidrevoy One confused frog later
@megatronicthronbanks ha ha, I think I'll keep the poor little frog following her for the next comic strip. For the running gag. 🐸 💕
@davidrevoy
Je doute que les livres cités en sources existent en plus 🤩
@Nours 😆 Aucuns, bien sure; c'est totalement halluciné comme le font les LLM/IA. J'y ai même mis quelques indices, O.RLY (oh vraiment?), Frogworth B.S. (Bull Sh*t). 😆
@davidrevoy
J'arrivais pas a lire les petites lignes (je suis vieux)
@davidrevoy we need to rewrite a lot of fairy tales - they all got ai in it!
@energisch_ I'm working on it!
@davidrevoy Love that one source is O.Rly
@davidrevoy I know MFT does not usually have connected strips, but I've been liking this pair's dynamic. Dare I say they are P&C's foils? I hope for return of 🐸!
@MrBelles Thank you, I like to call these two Cepper&Parrot 😉
The return of the frog? sure!
I am reminded of a similar set up, (no AI though) in which the punchline is the frog prince is indeed Prince of all the frogs. @davidrevoy
@BenAveling That's a good one!
@davidrevoy Avian Intelligence not even doing list numbering right is too real.
@arielmt This mistake, to be fair was 100% mine when copy pasting the text over the already formated first line that I duplicated four time to keep the font size, italic, line-height and bold. Could have been intentional, but I'll 'fix it' in the official website going to 4. But pretty cool the mistake looks like intentional. "Happy accident exists!"
@davidrevoy Love the character
@davidrevoy Love it!
Especially the sources. Laughed really hard.
For me, it is the best of your AI comics so far.
@davidrevoy it's my fav series so far! Really love what you are doing!
@davidrevoy Of course they are all fake frog news! In the original story (which the AI of course couldn't be bothered to cite) the princess does NOT kiss the frog but yeet it at the wall instead, which -- unlike a kiss -- unleashed enough power to remove the curse and reveal the prince. That Avian Intelligence should not watch too many Disney movies. They're not accurate! ;-)
Please link to "yeet frog", sounds like a great retelling.
@davidrevoy The real princes were the frogs we smooched along the way.
@davidrevoy at least the frog is happy. 🥰
