Tomorrow we have a lunar new year parade called the Festival of Light. We’re decorating bikes with horses, and there will be a giant Fire Horse carried through the streets as well—it’s great fun every year.

Winter Olympics? I don’t even have a TV.

One of the gifts of living in Canada is experiencing other cultures and traditions without leaving home. Yesterday my daughter and I took in a dragon dance and a lion dance on this very special year of the fire horse. The fire horse only visits once every 60 years. 🐎 🔥
