Bridestowe lavender farm, NE Tasmania. Desipite believing lavender is one of the very best of flowers, I've never been here. Every time we pass, we're on the way to somewhere else and we'll go there "next time". Finally "next time" became "this Thursday", and here it is.

Today I daytripped to Eaglehawk Neck to see some of Tasmania's great coastline. There are amazing cliffs, arches, blowholes etc, but the stand out is definitely the Tessellated Pavement. This is a rock formation created naturally by geological fracturing and erosion, and Tasmania's tessellated pavement is the best known in the World.
