I came across another typographic irregularity, but that is easily explained:
»Smart« quotes in a print-on-demand text by a tiny publisher, one step over self-publisht.
Did anybody else see that?

My most inconsequential pet peeve:
People typesetting temperatures wrong.
The unit symbols are °C or °F. You set a space between the number and the unit symbol. A degree sign right next to a number is an angle.
Using first »from« and then »–« instead of »to« is also frowned upon. Or, using an en-dash for numeric ranges in running prose in general.
So:
»from 10 °C to 25 °C«.
