Another part of the HSC router done 🎉

Printed the Z-Axis frame yesterday, so today (the last two hours or so) was print clean up, assembly and modification of components to make them work day.

The inserted nuts on the Linear shafts were a little too big, so I filed them down (rather than restarting an 11h print)

The linear shaft I had was of course way to long, and so I had to cut it down with a dremel.

A simple XZ carriage for a gantry router, printed in a pink filament. It has to rough cut linear shafts inserted and clamped in place.

Also learned a neat trick today. Probably just makes me one of the lucky 10000, but still want to mention it:

PLA is not fracture resistant. So removing supports is often easily done by just giving it a sharp whack. That's how I removed the support on all the dimensionally critical holes. Obviously your part geometry needs to allow you to concentrate that shock so that the impulse gets mostly absorbed by the support, and not some other part of your structure, snapping it.
