A cylinder of wire mesh has a bike rim and tyre at each end. Several metal rods have been placed at intervals and tied into the wire mesh to give the cylinder more strength. The cylinder will be placed on a wooden frame over a wheelbarrow. Compost will be put inside the cylinder which when it is turned will sieve the smaller compost into the wheelbarrow while the larger compost materials will be tipped into a container and put back in the compost pile to continue to break down.
