The logistics of then refunding US customers is, of course, a nightmare, so I am almost hoping Royal Mail say “tough”, but on principle they should get a refund from US and refund me, and their admin fee!

@revk no of course not, the recipient is owed it by the US government, they are the importer.
@flangey But what if I, as a seller, had done what Trump wanted, and absorbed the extra cost. I should be due a refund then, not the importer.
After all Trump insisted that the sending country pays the tariffs, so surely RM has lots of quotes of him saying that as justification for reclaiming them, as the sending country, that paid the tariffs.
@revk I think the mistake you are making here is listening to anything that liar says. I don't think a Czech-owned company called "Royal Mail" will make the same mistake, and the Mexicans aren't going to get a refund for "their" wall either :)
