Whatever Apple is doing with autocorrect is really bad; combined with the abysmal caret management means that typing on an iPhone is remarkably unpleasant even by mobile standards. I regularly get “autocorrected” to grammatically incorrect sentences from correct ones, the word “Alamo” seems to be the primary suggestion whenever I type an “a” (I suppose it does remember the Alamo), and it autocorrected my wife’s name to nonsense yesterday
