Hah!
Went to the old centre of #Wismar with my wife to hand back in part of our garden seed harvest (just some flowerseed) to the free seed bank at the local public library and decided to have a walk at the old harbour basin afterwards. Good idea:
Frost and snow of the last days brought a light ice cover to the inner part of the harbour.
Walking by the quayside I heard a snorting noise from the water at the ice rim and, sure enough, there was a visitor! 😎

Photo. View of part of the inner habour basin at Wismar with the medieval church tower of St. Marien in the backgrund. Grey sky, snow on the roofs of the buildings next to the harbour. At the rim of the ice cover on the water the head of a seal is visible.
Photo. Between thin ice shoals, the head of a seal surfaces, nose and eyes towards the viewer.
