@wagesj45 Hm yeah it seems like even though nobody is broadcasting analog signals anymore like this box does, the frequency ranges for most of those channels are still reserved for broadcasters. Some of the higher UHF channels were sold off for use with mobile internet but not as much as I thought.
As others have said, you could get in big trouble if anyone noticed and cared enough to report you to the FCC, but at this point I think it would be pretty difficult to get people to notice a low-power pirate analog broadcast on channel 5.
@wagesj45 Also I'm pretty sure you could wire this thing directly into an old analog TV set and skip the "broadcasting" part entirely.
@mrencyclopedia I'm trying to revive an old portable TV that only has an antenna input. There is no "easy" plug-and-play inputs. Gonna have to figure out how to wire a modulator directly in if I'm going to be successful.
Unfortunately I am hardware stupid.
What you want is an RF Modulator.
(https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XC9Y3VB/) put composite video and left/right audio in, connect the output to the antenna (coax) plug on the TV. Tune the TV to channel 3 or 4 and watch your video.
