Me:
I know that posting this might be seen as confrontational, "too political”, or completely off-topic, but I consider it to be a sufficiently important discussion to determine whether I'll keep using Kagi in the future or not. Trump is actively installing a techno-fascist regime in the USA while destroying all goodwill that existed between them and the EU. I want to know where does Kagi, as a company, stands on this issue. I'll take that blocking this message or banning me for asking this is collaborationism. I'll think the same if I don't get a response. Of course you are entitled to do as you please, but I find it fucking deeply worrying that so many US companies are so silent about this complete clusterfuck. The only sane way to interpret it doesn't shine good light on them.

Kagi:
companies do not have a political mind. we are a search engine and a browser. these are products that remain unimpressed with what is going on in the world from sudan to taiwan to meteor that is on collision course with earth. people have political views but it is impolite to ask strangers about it. and furthermore even if i expressed a personal view it would be taken as company’s and someone would not agree (nature of politics) so there ia literally no incentive to do that and no scenario where talking about politics in a business context is beneficial for that business long term. so lets keep this server about what people pay our company to do - search and browse the web
