Just watched @vkc explain how to install #Linux on an #AppleSilicon #Mac.

Apparently it boots into a stripped-down #macOS and then boots Linux from there.

Seeing as the stripped-down macOS isn't getting security updates (especially once the early ARM Macs go EOL), that sounds like a huge security/privacy risk. 😬

Will it be possible in the future to run Linux on a machine like this with macOS completely gone? Or is this gonna be like the bad old days of Linux on an m68k Mac?
