Had a great visit to the Paisley Thread Mill museum yesterday. It is volunteer run and the woman who took us round was very informative. #Paisley #FibreArts

A display of signer sewing machines and a grandmother clock given as long service gifts to staff.

Another mill building beside the River White Cart.

A model boat built out of hundreds of small bobbins of thread (1/6 scale) all tied together. The rigging is thread and the sails are linen. It was thought to have been made by former seamen.
