I propose the Munroe-test: we'll check whether the implementation of your idea would cause nuclear fusion - if so, it passes the test, otherwise no.
This test checks for absurdity, implausibility and reactor designs.
Namesake is of course Randall Munroe, who has conducted this test a number of times, albeit without giving it a proper name: p.ex. pitching a baseball at 0.9 c would clearly pass. https://what-if.xkcd.com/1/

Das Jahr ist 2026, und ich hab zur Sicherheit noch einmal nachgeschaut, damit ihr das nicht müsst:
Randall Munroe, irgendein Dude der nach eigener Aussage irgendeinen Physikabschluss und bei NASA an irgendwelchen Robotern gearbeitet haben soll, versteht das Konzept »Alternativtext« auch nach mehreren Jahrzehnten noch nicht.
