@bricabrac Those are insecure devices without proper updates from day one and lack long term support. We're not going to use devices which don't have essential privacy/security patches and security protections needed to protect users in the real world.
A major OEM capable of meeting all of our requirements reached out to us in June 2025 and is announcing details of our partnership in March 2026. The devices we'll be able to use will be launched in 2027. It takes a lot to provide what's needed.
