This creates a tunnel effect looking along the trail's path. The trail is carpeted in fallen pine needles which are brown in colour. Tree roots can be seen protruding up slightly above the trail's surface. The centre of the photo is brighter as the sun was more prominently shining through the trees in that area.

Tall, leafless trees stand on either side of a forest path in a misty haze. Their crowns lean towards each other, creating a space reminiscent of the nave of a Gothic cathedral. Branches push horizontally into the picture, as if they wanted to grab or hold someone. The fog gives the whole scene a spooky and eerie feel.
