Um einen ruhigen See herum befindet sich eine mit Moos überzogene Waldlandschaft, die sich im Wasser spiegelt. Oben rechts befindet sich ein älteres graues Holzboot. Sehr unterschiedliche Grüntöne von gelbgrün bis tiefgrün, fast schwarz dominieren das Bild. Es strahlt eine meditative, ruhige Stimmung aus.

Around the lunar New Year guests are served 'rōbai' (蝋梅), named after the fragrant 'yellow wax plum' which blooms at this time of year.
As the name suggests, the beehive-yellow blossoms look as if they have been carefully crafted from wax.
