ITC Souvenir for a souvenir shop? Cooper Black for Cooper Tires? That’s LTypI, short for lack of typographic imagination. Found an example? Mention @LTypI or tag with #LTypI.
Despite the derogatory name, many examples are more coincidental than intentional, while others are intentional but imaginative nevertheless. The term – a play on @atypi – was coined by @typographica and @gabrowitsch in 2008.

Catalogtree is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Arnhem (NL) founded in 2001 by Daniel Gross and Joris Maltha. The studio works continuously on commissioned and self initiated projects.
