I started playing #RPGs in the 1980s, when the only form of social media was #WhiteDwarf magazine. When I first got on the Internet, WWW had not yet been invented, but there was USENET. Online forums blossomed through the 2000s, but were eclipsed by the walled gardens of Big Tech in the 2010s. Now I roam the open spaces of the fediverse.
