I'm having a bad flare today. Gonna bender watch Lord of the Rings. I think I need to see the small and the kind take down big evil.
I have very lil cog so won't be tooting, but if you want to lie on the couch knowing someone out there is also on the couch watching LotR, I'm here.
I would totes watch it a again with more structure if someone wants to take the lead in setting up a watch party over the next few weeks.

Maybe it's because I am particularly raw today, but I want the Ghibli-esque soft remake of Lord of the Rings.
I need Tom Bombadil's laughter after the dark riders and the flight through the old forest.
I need the nights of elf song in the forest w Galadriel after the tragedy of Moria.
I need the ent-draughts and cool healing of the forest after the kidnapping by the orcs.
I want the stories of Farimir and Eowyn falling in love while convalescing in the houses of healing while they watch the world battle on.
I want to hear about how Aragorn was a healer as well as a warrior.
I want to be reminded you can't battle all the time. That the ebb and flow of struggle and recovery is part of the rhythm of life, not an either or lifestyle.
We need to learn how to be gentle to ourselves, and to each other.
It makes us stronger.
