I really, really, really want a #Firefox #fork that is nothing but Firefox minus AI crap.

No new UI,
No quirky onomatopoeic name,
No tightarse security policies that makes it harder to use.

JUST Firefox, before all of the antifeatures.

@rl_dane I also want this, and I think a good reason for it is that for security purposes, you want the patches to be as dead simple as possible so updating to match upstream is super easy

@rl_dane @kkarhan They spoke about an AI killswitch in Firefox, disabling all AI features. Wouldn’t that suffice?

@calisti @kkarhan

Almost. My other aggravation is that firefox keeps enabling recommended links in the home screen. I can't say for sure, but it seems that "feature" has a habit of re-enabling itself, although it may stay dead now that I've disabled it for what seems to be the third time.

Honestly, I'd PAY for a GOOD version of firefox without the antifeatures.
