This evening I thought I would share a cool experience I just had 馃. I was outside, playing with my dogs, and this itty-bitty owl flew across the yard and landed on a corner fence post! I slowly approached so I could take some photos and video, and the little guy actually let me get pretty close. I stopped at about 10-15ft away, took some pics, and just talked and trilled to them. (Yup, I'm that gal lol). They actually trilled back once (cutest noise ever 馃ズ馃) and stayed for a few minutes before taking off into the night. Happy hunting, little buddy. Stay safe!

P.S. anybody know which species this is? I'm in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I would guess this little one wasn't more than 8-10" tall 馃.
