In #StarTrekTOS' "Elaan of Troyius", Elaan eats large bits of food-dyed melon with her hands. The colour of the slice changes from yellow in the close-ups ⬆️ to red in the wider shots (cropped by me ⬇️). You can see the yellow melon under the dye in the third image. Also notice the soft sparkly filter, often used on "attractive young ladies" on #TOS, is only used in the close-ups ⬆️.

Sometimes you have closeups of Kirk or bones back to back with closeups of a lady. It’s so not fitting, so obviously over the top … it was a different time back then 😄
Also: this very spotlighted facelift in many shots. Often used in Kirk-Closeups to an extreme but very visible in these shots too. Very intense and interesting stage-lighting and with Kirk always over the top … fits his acting I think 😆👍
