So I use #zotero to highlight papers and then I import them into #obsidian, including a zotero link to the exact highlight.

I then organize the highlighted information into wikipedia-like pages in obsidian, linking to the exact block in the imported highlights where I got the information from. This lets me still have access to additional context while creating a reference library.

It's an incredibly powerful system for desk research and academic writing and corrects for my memory issues.
