because i view the current culture of "reveal exciting new product first, then only reveal its way too expensive later" as a predatory tactic to get people hyped and even sort of "dependent" on the product, making it more likely for them to buy it no matter what price it ends up having, whereas if the price was revealed initially then people could make a much more informed and realistic decision immediately
