Ich bin positiv überrascht. Insbesondere vom Detailgrad.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as XMPP, is in fact, XMPP/Jabber, or as I've recently taken to calling it, XMPP plus Jabber. XMPP is not a chat system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Jabber system made useful by XML, the XMPP libraries, components, servers, and clients comprising a full chat ecosystem as defined by IETF.
