I have a #Meshtastic device (LilyGo T-Deck), but it seems the #Android app does not want to connect to it over wifi. The Android app shows the node is available, but I can't tap on the node or connect to it at all.
No error messages are displayed. There's zero information as to why I'm unable to connect.

#iran mostly shut down now their own state-aligned national messengers that they previously positioned as alternatives to Western messengers and Telegram, especially for when the internet is nationalized and locked down.
There remain some islands of functioning delta messaging but the lockdown of private comms is truly dire, and likely a precursor for heightened violence.This correlation is not a political stance but reflects research in internet shutdowns of the last decade. Ask eg @Xeniax
In these situations Briar messenger https://briarproject.org is better because they have mesh networking using bluetooth and or wifi which can allow a crowd to communicate even when theres no internet
Meshtastic does something similar but requires custom lora radio nodes to have already been placed nearby

The network is now expanding the into New Hampshire and are closing in on linking with Hartford, CT.
We are hoping to deploy more repeaters south into Rhode Island, where there are pockets of #Meshtastic users wanting to connect to the #MeshCore network in New England.
Once connected and with MeshCore's stability over tens of hops there's no reason we can't have someone from CT or RI reliably message folks in NH via routes through Boston and eventually via redundant paths.
Our #Boston #MeshCore community has rapidly grown over the last few months. We went from a single repeater in my window to over 100 with as many users in the Boston metro area spanning over 300mi².
One of our users created a live map of the network, which parses the packet routes and visualizes them in real time as well as showing the history of routes weighted by activity. Remember, every dot is a former #Meshtastic user.

Mit dem Liliygo T-Echo habe ich einen weiteren Meshtastic-Node im Haushalt. Die SenseCAP-Karte hat meine Frau bekommen. Für den Fall, dass wirs mal brauchen nie verkehrt. Der Node auf dem Dach ist trotz sehr wechselhaftem Wetter bisher nie ohne Strom (Solar). Und jetzt habe ich rausgefunden, dass es ein Flutter-Paket für Meshtastic gibt... Mal schauen, ob ich da eine einfache, kleine App bauen kann 😊 #meshtastic
