We've integrated with Surveillance Watch, an interactive database that documents surveillance and spyware entities.
When searching for an entity that appears on their list, we'll display a banner on its domain to alert you that it's a known surveillance tech provider.
I'm going to try #Mojeek (search engine) for a bit and see how it compares to #Kagi. I'd prefer to pay and have no ads, but Mojeek seems very anti-tracking and privacy oriented, serving minimal, text-only ads. Kagi gets "no tracking, no ads, paid service" correct, but fumbled their response to some critical feedback, uses Brave as a source, and you can't buy their search product without also buying access to an LLM / AI chatbot thingy. Mojeek maintains their own index and crawler.
