Hi everyone!
I've rejoined the Fediverse. I've been here on and off since the beginning, so I'm familiar with how things work, but I've just moved over from my Mastodon instance to my new GoToSocial instance.
I love popular culture, reading books, watching movies, and occasionally playing video games, mostly on the Nintendo Switch 2. I also do photography but rarely share my pictures online, though I have a Flickr account. I have one cat.
I'm currently reading: Robin Hobb's works. Previously, I've read: Terry Pratchett, Brandon Sanderson, and Kurt Vonnegut.
I use NixOS and KDE.

So I guess it's time for an #introduction. Well, I'm a 30 something #Black #queer woman. I love to read #books. I love the #NYKnicks. I like #bicycles even though, it's not my primary mode of transportation. I like refurbishing and upgrading old electronics, specifically #iPods and #laptops. #TV and music have kept me going more than anything else. I'm branching into #Linux and getting more familiar with #FOSS. I am a #blogger and I have linked my blog in my bio.

Reading a book you loved from your childhood is a great way to realize how much you've grown as a person. The more shocked you are by how bad the book is, the farther you've travelled since you read it.
The book isn't bad, of course. It was just written for the child you were, not the person you are today.
