wow! not only did this $35 CAD macbook pro boot, but it's got snow leopard installed, the lcd is perfect, and the battery still holds a charge. not bad for a 16 year old machine!

so this is pretty wild. that $35 macbook pro i picked up at the thrift shop turned out to have a rather notable previous owner: the commander of one of canada's most famous military sniper teams.
