@sophie what if you connect an external display and keyboard/mouse?
@IngaLovinde Good idea. The phone is unfortunately too old/cheap to do HDMI on its USB-C port.
@sophie use the #lineageos tag to get more help. Things i would try:
1 Boot with keeping volume- pressed to get into safe mode
2 Wait till dawn. Maybe there is a day/night colour scheme.
This is all the phone does on reboot. Shows logos, warnings, the lineage OS animation, a split second of the lockscreen and then nothing. No button presses get any reaction so far other than holding power/vol down to get to fastboot and reboot from there.
The phone was completely fine till I enabled "invert colours" from the swipe down menu becuse of a annoyingly white website. 😢

Phone model is a Motorola Edge 30 running #lineageos 23.2.
These are the times where I hate how secure phones have become. Unfortunately, the phone can't discern between a border patrol agent trying to scan my phone for terrorist activities and my personal laptop trying to enable adb for resetting a dumb setting.
@sophie might help to tell us the actual phone model!
anyways, this looks roughly like a 2023 motorola, so chances are it outputs displayport over USB-C and you could try attaching an external screen to see if there's anything shown that just gets lost in color inversion
@funkylab No reaction to any of the usb-c to hdmi adapters I have laying around. That was the very first thing I tried.
I really don't want to have to wipe and start fresh. OTP keys are a pain.
@sophie Been there at the beginning of the week, but got lucky in the end :/
@sophie So it's just the display that is dead? You can fake touchscreen inputs using adb shell: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3437686/how-to-use-adb-to-send-touch-events-to-device-using-sendevent-command
@23n27 Well, adb devices doesn't list the phone and I can't unlock it because it'S completely black and I don't know where exactly the soft buttons for the sim card pin numbers and pattern unlock are.
@Nimbius666 It boots, shows logos and boot animation, but goes black after that. My normal way of getting adb used to involve allowing adb connection by pressing some touch buttons. But that involved unlocking the phone.
